Source: www.presstv.ir More US soldiers and veterans have died from suicide than from combat wounds over the past two years. The latest research indicates that suicide recently has surpassed combat death as a cause of mortality in the military. Senator Patty Murray is leading efforts on Capitol Hill to find out why the suicide rate has skyrocketed. She says experts have not yet given her a precise answer. The US has been at war in Iraq and Afghanistan for more than a decade. Murray says multiple deployments and unemployment are factors in the rising suicide rate. The unemployment rate among young veterans is over 27%. Murray has introduced legislation, which would provide job training for veterans and special access to employment. But it’s also well known that the US mental health care system is failing military vets. Veterans coming home from war complain they are plagued with paperwork when they seek help from the Veterans Administration. The VA recently hired 3500 mental health professionals and say their policy is to assess new veterans within 24 hours if they are in crisis. But the effort seems to be failing. Lawmakers say they will stay committed, but so far it is unclear if there can be an immediate response to the suicide epidemic. Experts say much more must be done than just criticizing the VA because the number of suicides is tragically and unacceptably high.

@8stringnightmare i dont understand if they dont fit in with society why not stay in the military to be all they can be beside it’s hard to get a job these days in usa …

@samphibian It even reminded of Hebron Massacre where 19 Arab families risk their lives to save 625 Jewish Families There is still a large community of Jews 75000 in Iran after Israel in middle east They seem to be living fine under Iranian regime The concept of Zionisim is not different from Nazi concept Europe for Aryans only And Zionist state for Jews only. They hv turned Judaismיהודה into nationalist movement. There are still some Jews Neturei Karta who dont accept israel as astate
@samphibian Actually Palestine before 1948 was a beautiful place to live but Zionist has only Brought death and sufferings in that holy land Jews were living with Muslims in peace in Arab lands but when Zionist started killing Palestinians the tolerance that was between them was shattered i even remember that was a Synagogue in Karachi Magain Shalome which was destroyed by Muslims in response to what was happening in Palestine when Irgun Terrorists destroyed Arab villages
@samphibian Inturn Palestinian Authority will make sure the security of Israeli People no more Qassam rockets into their territory I wonder if Israelies start building homes and Mosques instead of destroying things they could hv found a Place in Arab Heart but they think that only by Genocide they can survive there is a great fallacy in that argument
@samphibian The problem is that Israel dont accept the history of Palestine their culture their heritage and their right to exsist They want to push them to Jordan whereas Palestinian hv never accepted israel from their hearts they want to throw them out in sea .The middle way is that declare Gaza and west bank as separate state and palestinian refugee should return to their state Al-Aqsa Mosque should be brough under Muslim control whereas Arabs in israel are fine within israel
@samphibian Actually you are 8th Jewish Friend on YT I hv got two friends from Israel one 7 years old girl and another a peace activist I am even friend with American Jewish Girl Judea smith Jews and Arabs are cousins to each others Arabs are from Ismael and Jews from Issac Sons of Abrahim Half Brothers to each others

@shadowofears (Ah, I think you removed it yourself, as an editing job … ?)
@shadowofears This is interesting stuff that you write. I can’t get into focusing on it now, as it’s late where I am, but I appreciate your letting me know about it. I’m curious what “the right of return to all Palestinian refugees” and “the resolution of the issue of refugees” would specifically mean … and I’ll try to look into it over the next day or two.
Sounds good to me, bro. / Somebody flagged this post as spam, maybe the same person who removed the one above it. If you want to, you can send it to me as a message. / I blame fundamentalist Christians for much of the extremist pro-Israel stuff in Washington. Beyond their own nutty religious beliefs about Jews and Israel and the second coming of Christ, I truly believe they simply want to use Israel to punish Muslims.
@samphibian There is a simple way of ending this Problem Declare west bank and Gaza into separate Palestinian state takeout all the illegal checkposts and settlements from occupied territories and inturn Palestinian authority will ensure security of Israeli people no more Qassam rockets but the leadership is israel is really proud and very much zionist in nature They hv impunity from US Sanctions as AIPAC are very much in control of US Foriegn policies
@samphibian There is a simple way of ending this Problem Declare west bank and Gaza into separate Palestinian state tajkeout all the illegal checkposts and settlements inturn Palestinian authority will ensure security of Israeli people no more Qassam rockets but the leadership is israel is really proud and very much zionist in nature
@samphibian On 1 December 2010, Ismail Haniyeh said that “Hamas will respect the results (of a referendum) regardless of whether it differs with its ideology and principles”and that ”We accept a Palestinian state on the borders of 1967, with Jerusalem as its capital, the release of Palestinian prisoners, and the resolution of the issue of refugees.
@samphibian Hamas later publicly offered a long-term truce with Israel if Israel agreed to return to its 1967 borders and grant the “right of return” to all Palestinian refugees. In November 2008, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh re-stated that Hamas was willing to accept a Palestinian state within the 1949 armistice lines, and offered Israel a long-term truce “if Israel recognized the Palestinians’ national rights.
